Characters:

Chip-(SPOILERS AHEAD) adopted- a 7th grade boy who just moved into Jonahs neighborhood and they soon become best friends on their adventures.
Katherine-not adopted- Jonahs sister a normal 6th grade girl.
Description:
Jonah has always known he was adopted and he's never really thought twice about it.(According to all the adoption books his parents read, adoption is extremely normal)Until he finds out his neighbor is also adopted. They start to get threatening letters in the mail. Chip, Jonah, and Katherine are plunged head first into a mystery about who the boys really are.

This book is very good.  I finished it in about a day, Its not a hard book but its not  extremly hard. This series has  time traveling, and it can kind of be confusing at times, because some people are from the future and you have to know the good people from the bad. Margeret Peterson Haddix is a very good athor.Another series that youve probably heard of is the Shadow Children Books, Ive only read one and it was average, not something I would wait in a line to buy. It's extremly short maybe 100 pages tops, a bit pathetic if you ask me. Here's a list of some of her other books; Palace of Mirrors, Running Out of Time, and Just Ella.

P.S.This book is in a series called, "The Missing Series." There are two follow up books to this one, "Sent" and "Sabotaged." The third book leaves off with more to tell. I'm pretty sure Haddix is writing another because it ends on a pretty weird note (maybe a tad to flat on the C#).
